Kovu was once the strongest leader of the savannah, now he is just an old lion wandering the plains. The next morning the lion pack ran back to the surviving cubs. They looked towards the horizon where Kovu had disappeared. Zira and the pack of hyenas retreated into the darkness waiting for the next animal fight. The grassland was still the same, no love, only survival.

He proved that even if the whole world turned its back on a true lion, he would still stand up to protect the weak even for one last time.
